Mentors/Account Administrators
Access to the Dosimetry Training Tool will be available to training programs, mentors and students wishing to study Medical Dosimetry globally. It is suggested that programs and individual mentors have the primary responsibility of training their students. The didactic material in the Dosimetry Training Tool was developed to assist these programs and mentors as a resource for training and managing their student's educational career.
The Dosimetry Training Tool is not a program in itself and does not provide certification to meet the requirements to become a certified CMD. The training material should only be used as an educational didactic resource to support educating Medical Dosimetrists but does not restrict user access.
The responsibility of certifying training programs, mentors and students remains with other parties.
The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists (AAMD) will continue to provide oversight of the DTT and advise the DTT Management and Development group. The AAPM oversight will be provided through the "Training and Practice of Medical Dosimetry" Subcommittee and the subcommittee of the "Medical Physics Education of Allied Health Professionals". The AAMD oversight will be provided by the Education Committee, co-chaired by Mary Hare, CMD, and Robin Famiglietti, CMD. Mentors will be provided a set of training guidelines.
As a Mentor/Account Administrator your primary responsibilities will be to:
- Manage the subscription service
- Manage the "user" accounts (Add/Delete users based on the number of user accounts purchased)
- Assist students in setting up accounts
- Train students how to use their account
- Supply students with additional educational material and resources when needed
