System requirements needed for the Math Player browser plugin installation
Insuring administrative rights for application installation:
- You must have "administrative" rights to you computer to install any application or browser plugin. To verify your user rights for you computer you must do the following:
- Left click your computer’s "Start" button
- Go to "Settings", "Control Panel" and left click on "User Accounts"
- User Accounts Control Panel: You can identify all the "User Accounts" through this control panel. You must have "Administrator" rights. If your account was created with "limited rights" you will be unable to install any applications or plugins. Most clinics, hospitals and institutions create "Limited Accounts" for their users. If this is the case you must have your IT department install the plugin in for you. You can have your IT department contact support@dosimetrytrainingtool.com if they wish to discuss the situation further.
- Computer Administrator:
"The administrator is only visible on the Welcome screen when no other user accounts exist (except the guest account), or when you start your computer in Safe Mode."
- Limited Account:
"With a limited account you can:
- Change or remove your password
- Change your picture, theme and other desktop settings
- View file you created
- View files in the shared documents folder
Users with limited cannot always install programs. Depending on the program a user might need administrator privileges to install it."
- I’ll assume now that you have administrative rights. If this is the case we can begin the installation of the Math Player plugin. If you think that you may have only a "Limited Account" user rights you must have your IT department install the plugin in for you.
